i live with my parents in a flat on the first floor. i like the guy that lives in the next entrance of our house. he's never seen me and doesn't know. whole my family knows his family, but nobody knows his name, and my family doesn't talk much to his parents. i've noticed him because he keeps leaving his car in front of my window. should i do anything? in russia it's not often when girls come up first. what do you think should be done not only by me, but also maybe by somebody else. well, give an advice. And what should i do or say so that he likes me? P.S. he's 20, i'm 18.the point is that it's russia, it's not usual here for girls to make the first move. and also, how should a girl behave in the conversation with a man? P.P.S. i'm perhaps too shy to make the fist move, and bumpin inot him won't really work, coz there's too much space around.Guys, guys, guys, and girls! give an advice!?
Leave him a note somewhere, maybe tied to an anonymous Yahoo email account or something. If he's interested, he'll follow up. Don't identify yourself, just tell him a little about yourself (you live nearby, you think he's great) and tell him how to contact you. If he's not interested, he'll probably just toss it. And even if he shows someone the note, it won't impugn your reputation.





I can't imagine a single guy not being thrilled by receiving a friendly, discreet, and safe letter of admiration by a young, hot girl who likes him though. ;)

Just go and talk to him. Tell him that you live next door and thought it'd be nice to introduce yourself. Tell him your name and then ask him his. Ask if he might like to hang out sometime. If not, tell him it was nice meeting him and that you'll see him around. Good luck.
He is not that much older than you and if you dig him go for it and take a chance, ask him out.
You really need to get out of the mind frame of being a pursuer, as a female. I see this coming up far too often on this board, and all girls would be well advised to not do it. Sorry, but stop being amibitious for any particular guy. And if you don't take that advise, a girl really can get any man by turning up her motor, so please, everyone, this is getting old.
Honey,why don't you just sart showing up as he is entering or leaving the bulding? Just kind of 'be there',no pressure,but always make sure you say hello to him! study him from a distance for a while.consider the fact that he might not be crazy about women but if he is,find out the kind of girls he likes then see if u'll fit in

its not usual anywhere in the world for girls to make the first move... but us guys wish you girls would sometimes... it is not easy making the first move whether or not you are a girl or a guy. so help the guy out. if you are interested in him, tell him so.

FOR MY OWN OPINION IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER WHAT COUNTRY YOU WERE TO MAKE THAT FIRST MOVE...trust me even way back in my country girls don't make that first move but civilization changes. so anyways like you mention he park nxt to your window right. so nxt time you spot him parking there make some jokes with him...like for example ';hey who said you could park there and blocking my view'; (say this in a way that your flirting with him. remember while your saying this smile and look directly to his eyes) also make sure before you do that his not on a bad mood. from there intro yourself with him and ask for his name. tell him you always see him but you don't even know his name and tell him you just wanna be friendly with your neighbor...something like that.

Hey Mona,I think you can have this guy if you just do the right thing. It's not necessary to do the firs move. What you need is to make him look at you, just let him notice you. Once he did it, you will only have to wait for him to make the ';step';. Try things like ';a chance meeting'; round the neighborhood, something dropped near his car (which is in front of your window) or have a small talk with his mother, at the time he's coming home....things like these...About the conversation, you can talk about studying, cars, neighbors,parties, friends, internet, movies, music,your country, whatever you have in your mind.
